She answered forty-one of my questions and corrected six of my mistakes
What she knew
The village between 1948 and about 1975, in a detail that no record holds. Who lived where, what they did, and why the lane bends.
What she gave
Forty-one answers, six corrections, and an afternoon a month for four years. She was recorded eleven times and those recordings are in the archive.
What happens now
The recordings stay available and her corrections stay in the pieces they corrected, attributed. That was her condition and it was a good one.
