Preheader
It is true and it would hurt somebody for no purpose.

Not publishing

True, verified, and not being published

It concerns a person who is dead, an event fifty years ago, and a family who did not know. There is no public interest that outweighs telling them by publication.

What it is

A verified account of something that happened in 1974, involving somebody who died in 2008 and whose children are still here.

Why not

Because the only people it would inform are the family, who would learn it from a newsletter. There is no other public purpose I can identify.

What I have done

Deposited the documents with the record office under a thirty-year closure. It is preserved rather than suppressed and that distinction matters.

If you think this is the wrong call, say so. I am genuinely uncertain and the argument would be useful.
