Volunteers needed

Everything can be taught except being comfortable forty feet up

The mill needs regular inspection of the cap and sails. Every other skill involved has been learned by volunteers; comfort with height is the one that cannot be.

What is needed

Two people comfortable working at height with a harness, for quarterly inspections. Training and equipment are provided and paid for.

What else

Ground-level roles including guiding on open days, grounds maintenance, and the archive. None of those involve leaving the ground.

The commitment

About twenty hours a year for the height role and whatever suits for the others. The mill opens twelve days a year.
