Members pick the twelve films, which produces some unusual choices
How it works
Members nominate in June and vote in July. The twelve highest go in the programme regardless of what anybody on the committee thinks.
What it costs
Forty-two pounds for twelve films, or five pounds a film for non-members. That is about a third of a cinema ticket.
The room
Ninety seats, a proper screen, and a bar. It is a hall rather than a cinema and the seats are honest about that.
