Eleven days a year the sunrise lines up down the lane, and it may not be chance
What happens
For about eleven days either side of the equinox, sunrise sits in the gap at the end of the lane, seen from the church gate.
Why it might not be chance
The lane is on the pre-enclosure alignment and the church is older still. Both predate the grid that everything else here follows.
Why it probably is
Because there are a great many lanes and two equinoxes, and somebody looking for alignments will find them. I am aware of that.
