Late

Nine days late for no reason more interesting than not doing it

Late publications usually cite illness or a crisis. This one was late because I did not sit down and write it, which is a duller and more honest explanation.

What happened

Nothing. Three weekends went by and I did other things. There was no emergency and no obstacle beyond my own inertia.

Why say so

Because inventing a reason would be easier and would be a small lie, and small lies about small things are how trust actually goes.

What changes

Nothing structural. If this becomes a pattern I will move to monthly, which would be an admission rather than a schedule change.
