Sharpening service

Six pounds, and a good blade outlasts three cheap ones

Sharpening is unglamorous and is the single thing that most extends the life of a cutting tool. It costs us almost nothing to offer.

What it costs

Six pounds per blade including return postage. Any make, not only ours, and no minimum quantity.

How often

Twice a year for regular use. More often than that usually means the technique rather than the edge is the problem.

What we will not do

Sharpen something that should be replaced. If the blade is past saving we will say so and return it unsharpened at no charge.

Send something for sharpeningLearn to do it yourself
The sharpening guide is free and thorough. We would rather you learned it than sent us blades twice a year.
