Volunteer data triggered an official investigation in June
What you would do
Four tests a month at a fixed point. Phosphate, nitrate, and temperature. About twenty minutes including walking to the spot.
The training
One afternoon. The kit is provided and the method is deliberately simple so that results are comparable between volunteers.
What it achieved
Eleven high readings in a row at one point triggered an agency investigation which found a misconnected drain. That is the whole justification.
