Public meeting

Two minutes each, and the chair will actually stop people

Meetings fail when the format is vague. This one has a written format, a chair with authority to use it, and a hard stop at nine.

The format

Twelve minutes of opening, then questions from the floor with two minutes each and two minutes to answer. Chair stops both.

How to ask a question

Write it on a card at the door or raise a hand. Cards are drawn at random so it is not the loudest voices.

The rules

Nobody is shouted down and nobody is filmed without asking. Anybody who cannot manage that is asked to leave, politely and then firmly.
