The name suggests curtain-twitching and puts people off. What it actually is, on this street, is a list of who to call and who holds whose keys.
What it does
A phone list, a spare key arrangement, and somebody who notices when a bin has not been brought in for three days.
What it is not
Surveillance, reporting on neighbours, or anything to do with immigration status or benefit claims. Those uses are explicitly refused.
Joining
Give a phone number or do not. Several households are on the list with a name only and that is a perfectly reasonable choice.
