Sixty-one photographs of gates in a hundred and forty pieces
The count
Sixty-one gates across a hundred and forty pieces. Nine of them are the same gate, photographed across three years.
Why
Because a gate is where a boundary is negotiated, which is what most of this is about. That is the defence and it is partly genuine.
What changes
Nothing. I have thought about it and I am going to keep photographing gates, and now everybody knows why.
