The year

### Twelve issues, two corrections, and one piece I should not have written

Year-end round-ups list achievements. This one lists two corrections, one piece I regret, and the three that readers found most useful, which were not the ones I expected.

#### What worked

The three most-read pieces were all reader questions, which was not what I would have predicted a year ago.

#### What did not

The series on the estate, which took three months and which nobody finished. The read-through rate on part two was eleven percent.

#### What I regret

The piece in August, which was written from irritation rather than curiosity. It is still up and it should not have been sent.
