### One in four goes out free, funded by the other three

The maths is simple and the scheme survives on it being stated. Three sold at full price funds one given away, and nine hundred went out last year.

#### How it works

A quarter of the price of every sale funds a free one, distributed through four local organisations who decide, not us.

#### Who receives them

We do not know and do not ask. The organisations distributing them keep no list they share with us.

#### What happened last year

Nine hundred and twelve given away against three thousand five hundred sold. The ratio held almost exactly.
