Timebank

### Every hour is worth the same, deliberately

A timebank values an hour of anybody's time equally. That is the whole design and it is what stops it becoming a cash economy with extra steps.

#### How it works

Do an hour for somebody, earn an hour. Spend it on anything anybody else offers. There is a coordinator and a list, and no money at all.

#### Why equal hours

Because unequal valuation reproduces the market and excludes the people the scheme exists for. It is a principle rather than an administrative simplification.

#### What is offered

Currently ninety-one things, from ironing to conversational Spanish. The most requested is lifts and the most offered is gardening.
