Night walk

### No street lighting for the whole five kilometres

People bring a phone and discover it lasts forty minutes and lights nothing. A proper torch and a spare battery is the difference between a good walk and a bad one.

#### The route

Five kilometres on farm tracks and one field. Two gates and a stile. About ninety minutes at a comfortable pace.

#### What you need

A torch with fresh batteries and something reflective. Phone torches are not adequate and we will lend a spare if you are short.

#### What you will see

Very little, deliberately. The point is hearing rather than seeing, and torches go off for ten minutes at the halfway gate.
