### Everything brought goes to the food bank on Monday morning

Harvest displays used to be decorative. This one is a collection, and the food bank has told us exactly what is useful and what is not.

#### What is useful

Tinned meat and fish, UHT milk, tinned fruit, and toiletries. Those four are what the food bank runs short of every autumn.

#### What is not

Fresh produce, anything past its date, and anything needing a great deal of cooking. It is thrown away rather than used.

#### The service

Forty minutes, informal, and children are noisy in it by design. Nobody minds and nobody is asked to take anybody out.
