### What we can actually change, and what we cannot

Friends groups are often formed to prevent a closure and cannot. What they genuinely change is smaller and worth knowing before joining.

#### What we have changed

Opening hours on two days, the reintroduction of the Saturday session, and about four hundred pounds a year of stock we choose.

#### What we cannot change

Closure decisions, staffing levels, or the service budget. Those sit above us and pretending otherwise sets people up for disappointment.

#### What is needed

Four more people at meetings, and somebody who will run the second-hand book stall, which raises most of our money.
