Discoveries are described as though somebody knew where to look. This was in an unsorted box that had been catalogued as miscellaneous and left for sixty-four years.

#### What it is

A complete set of estate accounts from 1798 to 1841, in one hand, with a rental for every holding in the parish.

#### Why it matters

Because it names every tenant for forty-three years, which is the period the parish register is worst for. It fills a real gap.

#### What happens now

It is being photographed page by page and will be free to anybody. About four hundred pages and roughly six months of work.
